Delivery Methods & Timeframes: Standard Delivery is 1-2 Weeks, Express (special request), In-Store Pickup (requested and subject to availability).

Delivery Costs: Can range between $150 and $400 depending on requirements and location (see calculator upon adding to cart and checkout).

Order Processing Time: Orders are processed immediately after payment terms are met. At this time our delivery department will contact you to book in date and time that suits. They will also go over the process of the day. Smaller items that are shipped via post will be processed and shipped with 24-48hrs.

Day of Delivery: Our PLEGA Team will install and assemble all products. They will demonstrate the use and ensure everything is in working order. It is also possible to have our team prepare the room and dispose of items such as old beds and mattresses. You can organise these extra services with sales or the delivery team at the time of booking.

Do I need a special mattress for this bed? Yes. You must use a flexible mattress type, such as Memory Foam, Latex, or Hybrid (with individually wrapped coils).

Will the adjustable base fit inside my existing bed frame? Most likely, Yes. Our bases are designed to fit inside most standard bed frames (Queen, King, etc.), replacing your existing box spring/foundation. We recommend checking the exact inner dimensions of your frame against the base specifications before purchasing.

What kind of sheets do I need? Standard sheets may work, but they often pull or slip when the bed is adjusted. For best results, we recommend deep-pocket or sheets specifically designed for adjustable beds such as the PLEGA range.

What is the difference between a Standard Adjustable Bed and a Hi-Lo (Homecare) Bed? A Standard Adjustable Bed allows you to raise the head and foot sections. A Hi-Lo (or Homecare) Bed includes this feature plus the ability to raise and lower the entire bed frame’s height off the floor, which is essential for safe transfers and caregiver access.

Can each side of the bed be adjusted independently? Yes, if you choose a Split King or Split Queen configuration. This uses two separate bases and two separate mattresses (e.g., two singles for a King), allowing each partner to customize their position without disturbing the other.

Can the bed help with health conditions like snoring or acid reflux? Yes. Elevating the head of the bed (often to the 10-15 degree mark) can help open airways to reduce snoring and keep stomach acid down, providing relief from mild sleep apnea and acid reflux (GERD).

What happens during a power outage? Some of our beds are equipped with a battery backup system (usually requiring two 9V batteries) that provides just enough power to return the bed to a flat position for safety and egress. If the model does not have this or an external battery backup, call PLEGA immediately at any time.

Are the side rails included and are they required? Side rails are optional accessories that can be added. They are highly recommended for individuals with mobility issues or those at risk of falling out of bed, as they assist with repositioning and safe exit/entry.

Can children or pets operate the bed? For safety, children and pets should be kept clear of the moving parts and the remote should be stored out of their reach. Adjustable beds are generally not recommended for small children.

How do I safely get in and out of the bed? Always ensure the bed is in its lowest, flat position with the wheels locked before transferring into or out of the bed. Use a sturdy side rail or a transfer assist pole for support if needed.

How do I maintain and care for the bed? Keep the area under the base clear of obstructions. We recommend gently dusting the metal components and rotating the mattress from head to foot every 3-6 months to ensure even wear.

How long is the warranty on the base and the motor? Our bed bases come with a 5 Year Warranty on the frame, the motor and electronics. Full details are available on our warranty document.

What do I do if the bed stops moving? 1. Check the power cord is securely plugged into the wall and the outlet is working. 2. Ensure the remote control cable (if applicable) is firmly connected to the control box. 3. Try unplugging the bed for 60 seconds to perform a hard reset.
